Device Description: The Fisher Wallace Stimulator® is a wearable neurostimulation device that is regulated by the FDA for the treatment of depression, anxiety and insomnia.
Dosage: Once or twice a day for 20 minutes.
Mechanism of Action: Stimulation of serotonin production, alpha wave production and the default mode network; lowering of cortisol (stress hormone).
Patient Experience During Treatment: Comfortable, relaxed.
Side Effects: Less than 1% of patients may experience a temporary headache or dizziness.
Contraindications: Patients with implanted, electronic devices such as pacemakers should not use the Fisher Wallace Stimulator®.
